"As the founder of the Lake Travis Labor of Love, my intention was to create an environment where like-minded individuals could join together to make our community a better place for everyone to live. It was my hope that we could also have a lot of fun doing it! I want to thank each woman who started with me back in October 2007 as we set ourselves to a task that proved to be both challenging and extremely rewarding. Organizational structuring, legal validation and membership alliance took vast amounts of time and patience. I believe it has been well worth the trouble! LTlov has definitely impacted the greater Lake Travis area through donations to Operation Green Santa, the Children's Emergency Shelter through Peaceful Dreams, the Lake Travis Crisis Ministries, the local district of the Boy Scouts of America, the Lake Travis Independent School District, and so many more! We have given children with disabilities the opportunity to attend horse riding therapy, helped teachers with medical crises, and students in need of lunch during the summer, supplies during the school year and dresses for Prom. The LTHS infant care facility is a brighter, more interesting and better equipped facility because of LTlov and the Lake Travis Crisis Ministries has seen its shelves fill on more than one occasion over the past 3 years. It has been an honor to fund scholarships that have allowed local children to attend camps of various kinds and made it possible for our high school students to take advantage of the Early College Start program. The children who count on Green Santa Lake Travis at Christmas time count on LTlov's annual event and the partnership of the Lady Cavs basketball team. The list goes on, and on it will! Partnership is the key ingredient to our success and has allowed LTlov to grow consistently each year. We are thrilled to report that we have invested over $40,000.00 into the greater Lake Travis area since our charter.
