Lady Cavs choose LTlov and Operation Green Santa
In the middle of a demanding tournament schedule, the Lake Travis High School women's basketball players teamed up with LTlov and Operation Green Santa Lake Travis to spread Christmas cheer by helping local families in need. Teenage girls between the ages of 13 – 17 were their focus. According to head coach Ted Dydalewitz, the girls had been looking for something to do as a team when they weren't on the court and this project fit perfectly. "Girls helping girls just makes sense." stated junior guard, Kamaryn Ehlers, "We help each other on the court during every game, so helping other girls off the court seems pretty easy."
The girls basketball program will partner with LTlov again at the last home game of the season on Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Save the date and look for more details. District play for the Lady Cavs begins at home against Marble Falls on Friday, December 17.
